Getting started

bisect runs entirely in your browser. No download, no install. Sign up with an email address and you're in.

Your first design in 60 seconds

1. Sign in and click New project on the dashboard.
2. The editor opens with an empty hoop. Press R and drag to draw a rectangle.
3. With the rectangle selected, the right-side Properties panel lets you pick a fill type — leave it on Tatami, pick a color.
4. Click Export in the top bar. Choose DST (works on most machines) and a hoop size that fits your machine.
5. Save the downloaded file to a FAT32-formatted USB stick, plug it into your machine, and sew a test piece on scrap fabric.

That's the whole loop. Everything else — satin columns, importing artwork, refining stitch order — builds on those five steps.

Head to the sign-up page and enter an email and password. You'll get a confirmation email — click the link, and you're returned to bisect, signed in.

What's free, what's paid

The free plan gives you unlimited designs and a small monthly export quota. Paid plans lift the export quota and add format options.
